Meet the New Cervélo Soloist: The Fastest All-Rounder Yet

Not every ride is a mountain-top finish. Not every race is won in a sprint. Most riders need one bike that can do it all.

That's exactly why the Cervélo Soloist has become one of the most popular road bikes in our showroom. Sitting perfectly between the uncompromising aerodynamics of the S5 and the featherweight climbing prowess of the R5, the Soloist has always delivered the sweet spot: fast, balanced and race-ready.

Now, it's even better.

The all-new Cervélo Soloist has arrived at Steed Cycles, bringing meaningful updates that make it lighter, faster, more comfortable and more capable than ever before.

Built for the Rider Who Wants It All

If you race on weekends, push the pace at your local ride, or simply appreciate a bike that rewards every pedal stroke, the Soloist was designed with you in mind.

It isn't a bike reserved for WorldTour professionals. It's for riders chasing personal bests, podiums at local races, Gran Fondos, fast group rides and long training days.

The Soloist gives you race-ready performance without the pro-level price tag.

Whether the course is flat, rolling or climbing, it's equally at home attacking a technical criterium as it is spending all day in the mountains.

Cervélo set a goal. Then surpassed it.

When developing the new Soloist, Cervélo didn't want to reinvent one of its most successful bikes, they wanted to refine it. Their objective was clear: make the bike 7.5 watts faster while reducing overall system weight by 176 grams.

They didn't just hit those numbers.

The final production bike came in 8.6 watts faster than the previous generation while shaving 267 grams from the complete system. That's a significant improvement on a bike that was already considered one of the best all-around race bikes on the market.

Faster without sacrificing balance

Rather than simply making the frame smaller or lighter, Cervélo completely reworked the bike's aerodynamics.

The new frame and fork feature reshaped tube profiles that improve airflow while simultaneously reducing weight. The result is a bike that's noticeably quicker through the wind without losing the balanced ride quality that made the Soloist so popular.

The updated HB18 one-piece carbon cockpit plays a huge role here as well. It's lighter, cleaner and approximately 5.8 watts faster than the standard handlebar and stem while saving another 134 grams.

Sharper handling. Better comfort.

Fast bikes should inspire confidence, not punish you. The new Soloist features revised stiffness throughout the frame, making the front end more precise while adding a touch more compliance through the bottom bracket area. The result is more responsive steering in high-speed corners while taking the edge off rough pavement during longer rides.

If you love diving into technical descents or sprinting out of corners, you'll immediately appreciate the sharper front-end feel.

Geometry borrowed from the R5

One of the biggest updates isn't immediately visible. The new Soloist now shares the same race-proven geometry as its sibling, the Cervélo R5, delivering an aggressive riding position that's built for speed while remaining comfortable enough for all-day adventures. All in a more accessible package.

Cervélo also introduced:

  • Size-specific seat tube angles on smaller frame sizes (48, 51 and 54), creating a more consistent ride feel across every frame size.
  • A 2 mm lower bottom bracket to accommodate larger tires while maintaining stable handling.
  • Up to 36 mm tire clearance, opening the door to bigger tires for improved comfort, grip and even light gravel adventures.

These updates may seem subtle, but together they make the Soloist feel more planted, predictable and versatile than ever before.

Premium components across the lineup

The upgrades don't stop at the frame. Every complete Soloist now comes equipped with premium components designed to help you ride faster from day one, including:

  • HB18 one-piece carbon cockpit
  • Carbon wheelset
  • Power meter

That means no matter which build you choose, you're getting premium performance straight out of the box. For riders wanting the very best, the Soloist is now available with SRAM Red AXS.

The only trade-off? The new frame is now compatible with electronic drivetrains only. While mechanical shifting is no longer an option, electronic groupsets have become the benchmark for performance road bikes, delivering faster, more precise shifting with less maintenance.

The cherry on top? The new Soloist includes two purpose-built aero bottles.

Sure, their look might be a little polarizing, but they're more than just a design statement. Compared to standard round bottles, they're 4.3 watts faster, giving you "free" speed every time you ride. Prefer your favourite bottle? No problem. The included cages are also compatible with standard round bottles.

It's a small detail, but it's exactly the kind of thoughtful engineering that sets Cervélo apart.
