Soloist

Cervélo built the Soloist to sit exactly where the best bikes live: between the aero-obsessed S5 and the feather-light R5, borrowing the S5's speed and the R5's poise without fully committing to either extreme. And with this redesign, it pushes even further into that sweet spot. The new Soloist is 267 grams lighter and 8.6 watts faster, thanks to a reshaped frame and the HB18 carbon cockpit now standard across every build. But this isn't just a numbers game. Cervélo also dialed in the ride: more compliance around the bottom bracket for a bike that stays comfortable over long miles, and a stiffer head tube for handling that feels sharp and locked-in when you need it most. Every build rolls out on a set of Reserve carbon wheels, and Cervélo throws in two aero bottles that shave off another 4.3 watts.

HB18 Carbon Cockpit Upgrade

HB18 Carbon Cockpit Upgrade

No matter which build kit you choose, the Soloist comes with the HB18 carbon cockpit. The switch from a traditional handlebar and stem combo to the HB18 saves weight but it also gives the bike an increase in aerodynamic efficiency. If the stock cockpit does not fit you, Cervélo offers a program to swap it out for another size.

Every build of the Soloist comes with a set of Reserve carbon wheels. Good wheels make one of the most noticeable ride quality and performance differences on a bike. Whether it is the Reserve 40|44's found on the SRAM Rival build or the newer 42|49's found on the other builds, Cervélo made sure every Soloist has a quality wheelset.

More Aero and Lighter

The Soloist has been made lighter and more aerodynamic. The Soloist shed 267 grams as a system.* It's also 8.6 watts faster than the outgoing model, this doesn't include the extra 4.3 watts that is saved when using the included aero water bottles.

*Weight savings is total system weight, meaning the frame and cockpit combo.

Sizing Guide

The sizing chart is a great place to start when picking your next bike but everyone will fit a bike a bit differently. Your torso, arm, and leg lengths all play into what size of bike you may need. Plus, there's your own personal preference.

We always recommend swinging by the shop and taking the bike that you're looking for a spin to see how it feels.
