Why the Cervélo R5?
The Cervélo R5 is built for riders who demand the ultimate climbing machine, one that’s not only feather-light but also strong enough to take on the world’s steepest and most punishing climbs. At just 5.97kg in RED and Dura-Ace builds, the new R5 is nearly a kilo under the UCI weight limit, pairing an ultra-light 651g frame with a refined 298g fork. Every detail has been obsessed over, from the all-new HB18 bar/stem that drops weight and adds aero efficiency, to the Reserve 34|37 SL wheels engineered for strength without compromise. Inspired by the victories of Wout van Aert and Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, this is the bike that shines on long climbs, accelerates with authority, and descends with complete confidence. With updated geometry to mirror the race-proven S5, a perfectly dialed fit with 15 cockpit size options, and weight savings across every component, the R5 continues its legendary status as the purest expression of a mountain stage race bike.
Technical Details
The all-new HB18 cockpit makes its debut on the R5, bringing race-proven innovation straight from the S5. Built around the same +4 design, the HB18 ensures a natural fit, if your hood width is 38 cm, your drops measure 42 cm, this gives you confident handling and control in every position. Ergonomic in the hoods and rock-solid in the drops, it strikes the perfect balance of comfort and stability. To top it off, it shaves 134 grams compared to the previous HB13/ST31 combo, making your R5 lighter, faster, and ready to perform at the highest level.

Sizing Guide
The sizing chart is a great place to start when picking your next bike but everyone will fit a bike a bit differently. Your torso, arm, and leg lengths all play into what size of bike you may need. Plus, there's your own personal preference.
We always recommend swinging by the shop and taking the bike that you're looking for a spin to see how it feels. If you're unable to come by, looking at the geometry of your current bike and comparing it is a good place to start. If you have any further questions, our customer service team is there to help.
