Why the Rocky Mountain Altitude?
The Rocky Mountain Altitude is a purpose-built enduro bike designed for aggressive trail riding and racing. With 170mm of front and 160mm of rear travel, the Altitude is engineered to dominate steep descents and hold bold lines on technical terrain. Its design is optimized for speed, featuring enhanced stiffness and a low center of gravity for improved control and confidence. The bike is available in multiple wheel configurations, including full 29-inch, mixed-wheel (MX), and 27.5-inch setups, offering adaptability for various riding styles.
The Altitude also incorporates Rocky Mountain’s RIDE-9™ Adjustable Geometry, allowing riders to fine-tune the bike's performance by adjusting its geometry for different trail conditions. It comes in SMOOTHWALL™ carbon or alloy frames and offers top-of-the-line components such as Fox 38 and RockShox Zeb forks, Shimano XT and SRAM X0 drivetrains, and Maxxis tires for superior grip and control on rough terrain.

Frame Sizing
The sizing chart is a great place to start when picking your next bike but everyone will fit a bike a bit differently. Your torso, arm, and leg lengths all play into what size of bike you may need. Plus, there's your own personal preference.
We always recommend swinging by the shop and taking the bike that you're looking for a spin to see how it feels. If you're unable to come by, looking at the geometry of your current bike and comparing it is a good place to start. If you have any further questions, our customer service team is there to help.
