Challenge Limus Race - TLR

Limus means mud in Latin, which is exactly where this tire dominates. Deep, aggressive, and well-spaced knobs cut through muddy conditions so you can flow through corners, zip thru off-camber sections, and powering up inclines with ease. A great tire for truly extreme conditions like the 2018 CX World Championships where it won four of five gold medals.

With our RACE series, we start where other tires stop - we utilize ultralight 60TPI nylon casings and superior tread compounds - to give our traditional vulcanized tires excellent ride feel and quality that is more affordable than our handmade offerings.

This Challenge TLR model is hooked rim compatible, and is designed to be compliant with UCI tire-width rules with most rims having an internal rim width up to 23mm.

CASING: Nylon Superlight 60TPI
Vulcanized Nylon tire casings are the industry standard. Easy to produce and offering excellent durability and high performance at a moderate cost, they are the most common variety of tire available.

COMPOUND: SMART-V
A specially formulated version of our SMART compound that is adapted to the different construction of vulcanized tires.

PUNCTURE PROTECTION: PPS
Our Puncture Protection System (PPS) is a tough, tightly-woven fabric placed between the tread and casing to increase puncture resistance.
