The Lowdown takes everything Chromag learned developing our full suspension line, and directs it into a long travel bruiser. Chromag still has a penchant for 4130 steel, 29" wheels, slack head tube angles (63.5°) and steeper seat tube angles (79°), but now they've paired all of that with 170mm up front and 158mm out back.

Chromag Lowdown

The Chromag Lowdown is a full-send trail machine built to crush descents, stomp big hits, and still keep the legs fresh on long pedal missions. With a 4130 chromoly steel front triangle and 6066 aluminum rear end, it blends signature Chromag ride feel with the stiffness and precision demanded of a long-travel platform. The 4-bar suspension layout delivers 28% progression, tuned for both air and coil shocks, and strikes a perfect balance between support and sensitivity. Designed and tested in the Sea to Sky, the Lowdown’s long, low, and slack geometry pairs with a rock-solid frame, UDH compatibility, and serviceable hardware to offer a ride that’s as intuitive as it is rowdy. From handcrafted head tube badges to an expanding collet main pivot, every detail reflects Chromag’s craftsmanship and dedication to building bikes that last a lifetime. This is a trail bruiser with brains, built to be ridden hard and maintained with ease.

Sizing Guide

The sizing chart is a great place to start when picking your next bike but everyone will fit a bike a bit differently. Your torso, arm, and leg lengths all play into what size of bike you may need. Plus, there's your own personal preference.

We always recommend swinging by the shop and taking the bike that you're looking for a spin to see how it feels. If you're unable to come by, looking at the geometry of your current bike and comparing it is a good place to start. If you have any further questions, our customer service team is there to help.
