The Shimano Flat Mount type C2 rear bolt is used to attach the Ultegra BR-R8170 and BR-R7170 brake caliper to the frame. A type C bolt must also be used. Depending on the brake rotor size and frame type, the brake caliper is either attached directly to the chainstay or via an adapter. The bolt is available in different lengths for frame diameters from 10 to 35mm. Tighten them firmly with a 4 mm hex tool 6 to 8Nm.

Note: Most brakes are attached with one type C2 and one type C screw. Before ordering, please check the instructions for your brake to see which screws you need.
