Fast gets Faster
The P5 is a time trial powerhouse designed to maximize speed from start to finish. With 30 years of aerodynamic expertise and input from elite triathletes and Tour de France champions, we refined it with extensive simulations in the CFD metaverse and 3D printed frames. The result? A faster, more adjustable, and—yes—more comfortable racing machine.
The new P5 is notably quicker, saving about 5 watts compared to its predecessor, primarily due to advances in wheel technology like the Reserve 77/88 paired with 29mm Vittoria tires, enhancing aerodynamics and reducing rolling resistance.
Its one-piece front end simplifies assembly and adjustment, allowing stack height adjustments up to 40mm, while lowering the basebar by 10mm for minimized frontal area. The new riser provides tilt adjustments from 0 to 30 degrees in 5-degree steps.
The aerodynamically improved frame supports up to 34mm tires, accommodating the Reserve 77/88 wheels and Vittoria 29mm tires, saving about 4 watts over previous configurations for a total system gain of about 5 watts.
Enhanced comfort features include wider, taller, and thicker armrests and pads, ensuring better control and confidence in the most aerodynamic riding position. The new fastback seat stay design reduces vertical stiffness by 22%, maintaining lateral stiffness for efficient power transfer.
In essence, the new P5 not only enhances speed but also improves rider comfort and control, making it an ideal choice for competitive time trials and triathlons.
