Why the Specialized Status?
The Specialized Status 2 redefines the boundaries of mountain biking and pushes past them. Is it a trail bike? Absolutely. A park bike? You bet. The Status 2 is designed to be ridden anywhere and everywhere you choose.
Each Status 2 starts with a robust M5 alloy frame and durable alloy wheels. It features stout suspension, powerful brakes, and versatile drivetrain options to handle big hits, smooth pedalling, and provide excellent stopping power. It's not for the gram counters; it's for riders who push the limits and come back for more. Before it reaches you, every Status 2 gets a specialized shock tune from the Specialized Ride Dynamics team to perfectly complement its kinematics. Plus, with flip chips on the Horst pivot link, you can easily adjust the frame’s geometry to match your ride style or terrain.

Frame Sizing
The sizing chart is a great place to start when picking your next bike but everyone will fit a bike a bit differently. Your torso, arm, and leg lengths all play into what size of bike you may need. Plus, there's your own personal preference.
We always recommend swinging by the shop and taking the bike that you're looking for a spin to see how it feels. If you're unable to come by, looking at the geometry of your current bike and comparing it is a good place to start. If you have any further questions, our customer service team is there to help.
