Why the Specialized Aethos 2?
The Aethos 2 is built for riders who live for the moments when the bike disappears and the ride takes over. At just 595 grams, it is the lightest production road frame in the world, but the magic is not in the number. It is in the way the bike dances up climbs, floats through corners, and hums across rough roads with an effortless rhythm. With refined geometry drawn from decades of fit data, clearance for 35mm tires, and an all-new Roval Alpinist cockpit and wheelset, the Aethos 2 expands its legendary ride feel to more cyclists than ever before.
Engineered through Flow State Design, every curve of the Aethos 2 has been tuned to channel energy, creating a ride that feels alive yet balanced. Complete builds tip the scales under six kilograms, but the real weightlessness comes when the frame simply melts away beneath you. It is timeless in silhouette, elegant in execution, and transcendent in motion. For those who chase the sensation of freedom on two wheels, the Aethos 2 is more than a bike—it is the purest expression of joy on the road.
Technical Details
The Aethos isn’t all about weight, but it does play a big role in the bike’s design. The S-Works 12r Aethos 2 frame weighs in at 595 grams, and the 10r frame sits at 705 g, both in size 56 cm.
The frame isn’t the only thing that saw a weight reduction. Specialized optimized the seatpost clamp, BB cups, the UDH, and the brake mounts to save another 19 grams, helping them build their lightest disc brake road bike yet.

Sizing Guide
The sizing chart is a great place to start when picking your next bike but everyone will fit a bike a bit differently. Your torso, arm, and leg lengths all play into what size of bike you may need. Plus, there's your own personal preference.
We always recommend swinging by the shop and taking the bike that you're looking for a spin to see how it feels. If you're unable to come by, looking at the geometry of your current bike and comparing it is a good place to start. If you have any further questions, our customer service team is there to help.
