Based in Squamish, OneUp Components makes killer products designed and tested right here in BC, on some of the gnarliest trails in the world. Their pedals have been long been a favourite here at Steed, out-selling other pedals by a large margin. Up until now though, OneUp have only ever produced flat pedals, but they're changing all that with their latest release - the Clip Pedal.
OneUp Components are known for producing high quality parts that are designed to withstand the burly trails we have here in BC, but they're also known for affordable products that don't break the bank, while being easily serviced using regular tools. Their new Clip pedal is no different, and while they're a little more expensive than their flat counterparts, they pack in a ton of features, while still being easily serviced at home.

Your new favourite Clip Pedals - OneUp don't mess around here, and having spent some time aboard them already, I think they might be right. The new Clip Pedals combine a large platform with adjustable pins, ultra thin profile, and super light weight. OneUp claim them to be the thinnest clip pedals in the world at 26.8mm, which means fewer pedal strikes, and weighing in at a claimed 410g per pair - that's 10g lighter than Shimano's M8120 XT pedals.
The Chromoly axle is rated for DH, and the 80 x 90mm platform provides all the confidence and grip under foot you could possibly want. Finally, OneUp's custom stainless steel binding is said to eliminate all front-back and up-down movement, creating a locked-in feeling unlike any other pedal, but with a full range of adjustment. 5 degrees float and a 12 degree release angle gives a familiar feel, and a tension adjustment range wider than Shimano, plus included cleat spacers and removable pins lets you fine tune your fit to absolute perfection.

Those that ride clipped in have historically had a little choice outside of Shimano, and those options that are available typically might not have the best parts availability. OneUp's Clip Pedals address these issues by using Shimano cleats, relatively few small parts, and with a wide dealer network, getting parts shouldn't be an issue, no matter where you are in the world.
The included bearing nut tool makes the OneUp Clip Pedals easily serviceable with nothing more than a 6mm and 8mm hex key and some grease, and the pins are easily replaced when damaged. We're a big fan of user serviceability, and OneUp typically have great stock of service parts. Spinning on three cartridge bearings and an IGUS bushing that should rarely need replacing, service is easy and requires no bearing adjustments.

Light weight, large platform, and tuneable fit makes the OneUp Clip Pedals the most versatile pedals we've seen for quite some time. Combined with eight different colour options to match whatever colour scheme you've got going on, plus an ultra secure and confident feeling underfoot, OneUp's new Clip Pedals are a clear winner.Â
