It's been a bit of a slow start to summer with a cold and wet spring, but Ride Club have been getting after it regardless. There's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing, right? Well we seem to have gone from cold and wet to stinking hot and sunny almost overnight. We're not complaining of course, and nor were our friends at 7mesh, to whom we owe a massive thank you for sponsoring this month's BBQ.
7mesh were kind enough to support this month's BBQ, sending down some of their best humans to share the stoke, ride bikes, flip burgers and scoop ice cream while giving us a look at some of their best items of bike wear. Yep, they even brought two huge pails of the best Earnest Ice Cream had to offer, including a vegan option. They really know how to treat us!
The weather was sunny, the roads were smooth and despite some mechanical issues in group 3 at least, all had fun and made it back to the shop in good time to enjoy some frosty drinks and food. Working up a sweat in the sun on a stunning ride around Deep Cove made for some thirsty riders on the way back, with water depleting faster than is ideal - sometimes it's better to know when to call it and just relax instead. We're not complaining.
