Debuting two years ago, 7mesh's WTV fabric, an abbreviation of Wind, Thermal, Ventilation, seeks to create the perfect balance of those three elements. Enter WTV 200, the latest version of that technology.
Using a brand new proprietary fabric designed in house, WTV's stretch-woven exterior creates a barrier against the wind, while remaining breathable and ventilated. The brushed loft interior traps air, keeping heat in and cold out. These elements combine to create garments that keep the wearer warm in a variety of cold-weather scenarios.Â
That original WTV hasn't gone anywhere, now known as WTV 300, but 7mesh have added WTV 200 to the line, giving riders more choice and options. Expanding on what WTV has to offer, WTV 200 brings a lower loft version to the family, making a super versatile shoulder season piece that's great for layering or changeable conditions.
WTV 200's lower loft makes for a less insulated garment, which can be ideal for high-intensity workouts or those that run warm, where the WTV 300 is better for low intensity or really cold days. Lower loft also means less bulk, making it more packable, and better for layering, meaning more flexibility in case of sudden changes in conditions. Throw a jacket on top, or pull it off and stash it if things get really heated.
Made for mountain, road, and gravel - there's a WTV 200 piece for everyone. The Spruce hoody combines a hooded jacket with full length zip and front pockets for a stylish, comfortable, and versatile piece that's equally at home on the trail or the apres, and comes in men's and women's fit. The Spruce jacket omits the hood, moves pockets to the back, and adds a drawcord to the bottom to snug the fit in, for a more performance-focussed piece that spans gravel and mountain - also available in men's and women's cuts.
The Tantalus Jersey is a fitted WTV 200 jersey optimised for drop-bar riding, and is available in a men's and women's cut, with a slimmer fit than the WTV 300 Seton jersey. Featuring elasticated hem with silicone gripper, reflective logos, and Anything Pocket System on the back, featuring three open pockets and a single zippered pocket for cards and keys. Tantalus is perfect for high-intensity sessions on the road or gravel bike. Spruce Hoody, Spruce Jacket, and Tantalus Jersey all come in men's and women's fits, and two to three colours each.
