We’re excited to kick off another year of trail work alongside Santa Cruz Bicycles and the NSMBA. As a local bike shop, supporting the trails that shape our riding community is something we truly care about. These trails are the backbone of everything we love about riding here, and contributing to our trail network is non-negociable.
Through the Trail Adoption Plan, we continue to support the NSMBA while maintaining our adopted trail, Pennzoil, with the help of Santa Cruz Bicycles. This partnership lets us contribute both financially and hands-on, keeping Pennzoil riding great year after year.
Calling all volunteers
While we’re committed as a shop, the real magic happens when the community shows up. That means you. Every extra shovel and rake helps us get more done and make a bigger difference. The past few seasons have seen incredible turnout, and it shows. Pennzoil is riding better than ever, and we’ve even been able to put time into nearby trails like Lower Expresso.
Let’s keep that energy rolling into 2026. If you’ve ever thought about lending a hand, this is your sign to jump in and be part of it.
What you need to know
When: Trail days run on Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM.
How to join: Sign up using the Google Form for each date. Even if you only have an hour or two to spare, your help goes a long way, so come on out!
Where to meet:
- Pennzoil workdays: Bottom of Pennzoil on Braemar Rd
- Lower Expresso workdays: Dempsey and Braemar parking lot, slightly farther east
*Meeting locations will be confirmed by email the day before each session.
What to bring:
- Solid footwear
- Work gloves
- Clothing suited for the weather
- Water
We’ll take care of the tools. To wrap things up and as a thank you, pizza and drinks will be waiting for you after each dig day.
