Why the Factor ONE?
The ONE didn't emerge from nowhere, it represents the culmination of years of hard-won insights. Every breakthrough, from the HANZŌ Track's Olympic triumphs to the dominant OSTRO VAM, contributed essential lessons. Factor has built extensive expertise in aerodynamic geometry, merging computational fluid dynamics, wind tunnel testing, and on-road experience. They've mastered the art of managing airflow around rotating wheels and discovered how to boost speed while maintaining control. When the UCI eased critical design constraints, Factor seized the opportunity. They maximized every possibility within the new parameters, optimizing not just airflow efficiency but also rider positioning and bike control. During its unannounced debut at the Critérium du Dauphiné, the ONE, still in prototype form, claimed a stage victory. This wasn't merely an introduction. It was a statement of intent.
Technical Details
The radically designed fork and “Chin” Fairing push the boundaries of what a UCI-legal front end can do. Wide-set, forward-projected fork legs channel and stabilise airflow before it ever reaches the frame, eliminating the turbulence that traditionally spills off the front tyre. Combined with a ducted fairing, this structure produces class-leading drag reduction and maintains attached flow deep into crosswind yaw—long after other aero bikes begin to stall. The result is sustained speed, smoother handling, and an unmistakable sense of the bike cutting through air with purpose.
