2026 OneUp Squamish Enduro

2026 OneUp Squamish Enduro

If there’s one race that consistently draws the fastest, toughest, and most determined riders in the country, it’s the Squamish Enduro. Widely considered one of the biggest enduro events in Canada, this race isn’t just about speed, it’s a full test of endurance, skills, and mental grit.

The course is unforgiving in all the right ways. Long transfer climbs, technical descents, and relentless terrain force riders to dig deep from the first stage to the last.

It’s also one of the rare chances for everyday racers to line up against some of the best in the sport, including Canadian National Champions, making every stage a benchmark moment.

Start Line: Sara was all good vibes and ready to go. Big shoutout to Vancouver-based company Akta for outfitting our staff with a proper race jersey.

This year’s full course delivered exactly what the Squamish Enduro is known for:

  • 6 stages
  • 54 km of racing
  • 1,850 m of climbing
  • 1,400 m of in-stage descending

Alongside the five posted stages, the infamous blind stage made its return, sending racers down an unscouted, raw line. This year’s version? A proper adventure, complete with a fresh-cut loamy section that rewarded instinct and commitment.

Blind stage: The blind stage followed Stage 1 and took the riders on Room with a View into Gouranga and around... even the riders aren't 100% certain what they rode. True blind stage spirit.

Eight of our staff stepped up to the challenge and took on the full course, each bringing their own goals and race-day energy.

  • Maxime (Pro) - Bike Mechanic & Bike Builder
  • Thor (Pro) - Bike Mechanic & Bike Builder
  • Sara (Open 21–34) - Softgood & Accessory Manager
  • Theo (Open 21–34) - Warehouse Associate
  • Sasha (Open 21–34) - Sales Associate
  • Kevin (Open 35–44) - Bike Builder
  • Andrew (Veteran 45+) - Bike Builder
  • Phil (Veteran 45+) - Customer Service

From early-morning nerves to reaching the finish line just before sunset, the day was packed with standout moments, clean runs, close calls, and of course a couple crashes and mechanicals.

Stage 1: Andrew on the final rock roll of Intestinal Fortitude.

Steezy-Sara incoming.

Stage 3: Kevin looking smooth at the end of Mucosa, just before the final grind on Rollercoaster.

It truly takes a village. Here's the team behind the team: Niko, our graphic designer showing us some sweet moves as we wait for the riders.

Heckle Zone on Cougar Ridge

What makes the Squamish Enduro special isn’t just the course, it’s the atmosphere. The crowds rally in force and you can hear people cheer at every stages.

This year again, the final stage on Cougar Ridge took it up another notch.

The trail was lined with people, and it got LOUD. Riders were coming in hot, pushing for the last few seconds, pulling hard, and the crowd was right there for it: cheering, heckling, keeping the energy high all the way down.

It made for a proper finish. Fast, a bit chaotic (to say the least), and extremely entertaining to watch.

Pretty sure we’re all still carrying a bit of dust from that one.

Theo nailing the rock roll with confidence surrounded by the crowd cheering.

Things almost got loose for Sara for a split second, but she pulled it back together and charged on to take P2 with SO much style.

Maxime had the crowd fired up dropping into the rock roll with a nose wheelie. Never one to hold back, this Frenchman always puts on a show.

Conclusion

We weren’t able to catch every rider from the crew out on course, but the important part is everyone made it through safe and sound and had an amazing day on the bike.

There were some standout results worth highlighting.

  • Sara delivered a strong ride to take P2 in Open 21–34 Female with a time of 26:58.89 despite a crash in Stage 1
  • Phil earned a spot on the podium with P3 in Veteran 45+ Male in 23:58.67.
  • Sasha rounded things out with a solid P9 in Open 21-34 Male, securing a top-ten finish in a deep field.

Andrew unfortunately had a puncture and wasn’t able to make it to Cougar Ridge before the cutoff, finishing with a DNF after pushing his limits (not his bike, thankfully) for a good 45km+. These things are part of the game though and he was still really stoked on the day.

When asked about their experience, the common theme was simple: pride in each other’s rides and appreciation for the support across the team out on course.

Add in two podiums and a stack of strong performances in a very competitive field and it was a successful day in Squamish for the Steed crew.

This post wouldn't be complete without a photo of a good boy. Thanks for reading!
