Community Involvement

Local Clubs & Teams

Steed Cycles has been supporting Clubs and Teams in the Vancouver Area for the last 20 years. In 2017 we will be working with some new partners that offer Racing, Coaching and Group Rides in the lower mainland. Check out the Clubs/Teams above for more details.

NSMBA & TRAIL ADOPTION PROGRAM (TAP)

Steed Cycles has been a long time supporter of the North Shore Mountain Bike Association and their trail building and maintenance here on the North Shore. In 2009, Steed Cycles and Giant Bikes Canada adopted Boogieman on Mt. Seymour through the NSMBA Trail Adoption Program. Through this partnership with Giant Bikes, Steed Cycles has logged over 1000 man-hours of maintenance and construction on Boogieman, rebuilding this classic North Shore trail to it’s original condition.

In recent years we have adopted Pennzoil on Mount Fromme and continued to maintain the trail. Pennzoil was one of the first trails to connect Expresso out onto Braemar Road and in recent years it's needed a little love. With the help our NSMBA builders Sarah and Gord, we've spent countless hours restoring the trail and making some positive changes in keeping with its original style.

Trail Adoption

In 2016 we have adopted the new climbing trail on Mount Fromme called ‘No Quarter’. We are delighted to announce that Santa Cruz Bicycles will be supporting us on this project. Stay tuned for updates during the season or join us on the trail by volunteering.

NORTH SHORE HIGH SCHOOL MOUNTAIN BIKE LEAGUE

Steed Cycles has provided race support and donations to the North Shore Mountain Bike League since 1998. The crew here at Steed believe it’s important to support up-and-coming athletes and grass roots mountain bike race programs like the NSMBL. High school racing here on the North Shore has produced some of Canada’s top competitive XC athletes and Steed Cycles is proud to be a supporting sponsor again in 2013.

Since 2015 we have supported Carson Graham High School Race Team. They have had great success in all age groups and we wish them further success with their program.
