>BC Bike Race Stage 7- Done!!!
5th July

Kim Steed shattered at the finish of Stage 7
The final stage of BC Bike Race was in Whistler with the start and finish at Creekside. Off the line we went up, up and yes, more up. The lung popping climb was over 600 meters until we started to decend. I was happy to see everyone including the pros, being forced to hike a bike within 5 minutes of the start. I think the scenery was amazing, but I had a hard time seeing as blood kept tearing up in my eyes.
Amazing trails up on Whistler mountain for XC that I’d never ridden! Grant Lamont the course designer is seriously sadistic though, there were more climbs in a short stretch of race course than I have seen before. Grant was quoted at the start as he rubbed his hands together with … Read More »

With 2010 Olympics around the corner I decided to check out what all the fuss was about. Whistler is known for its world famous bike park and to our amazement offers winter activities in the form of skiing and snowboarding. If you haven’t tried it – give it a whirl, its actually fun- especially on days with POWDER!
Thanks to the good folks at Subaru, and Peter Kewit and Sons Derek Dix carefully transported us to the base of Whistler in just over an hour! Despite F1 g-forces and DJ Khaled coming through the wires I managed to find a photographer for the Santa Cruz Driver8 review – Derek Dix – expect some “BOSS” work when he returns from school in Calgary.
The conditions were great with something like 40cm in the past 48 hours and more to … Read More »
>Chromag Brings Your Bike To Life!!!
22nd October
> All I have to say is WOW! I love my Chromag Fubar OSX bar. It’s got a great feel to it, and it’s nice and low, but the biggest advantage is the width! 30″ wide for mucho control in the fast and rough terrain. You might think that 30″ sounds too wide, that might be 3″ wider than your current bar. I easily got used to the width and won’t go back to a narrow bar. Even on a Cross-country bike 28″ feels right. New colours just came in. The Chrome that everyone’s been waiting for, and some kick-back colours of purple, and electric blue! In Stock now!

>Crankworx!
14th August

Just for the day, Branden and I did the quick Whistler and back Crankworx one day whirlwind tour. One lap of the village over to the day lot to see a part of what Crankworx had to offer. Wow. It was hot, I can tell you. Awesome to see a bunch of new 2009 stuff, and before Interbike!
The new Giant Glory bikes have some sweet new painted linkge. This one in my favorite color.
There is an all new Giant Anthem X frame with 4 inches of travel, fading the lines between the incredible all mountain Trance X and the original XC racing Anthem.
My Buddy Kirt Voreis from the Santa Cruz Syndicate. Probably the coolest guy I have ever met in my life. He ruled it in the latest Kranked vid.
You can never get bored of Ryan Leech and his show. … Read More »
